Out of cigarettes? Than what ?
This smoking habit of mine is very hard for me to control. Normally when i run out of it, i would get my self more. If something else is in the way for me to doing so, i usually cant concentrate on what i am doing. Well, sometimes that you were driving on the highway which there is no store and you have no cigarette by your side. So this certain circumstances arise like couldn't concentrate on the road or feeling uneasy while driving and so on.
Well I'm not sure how other people counter this kind of situation but i am willing to share with you guys what i did when i was in this situation. When this type of struggling matter arise, make it your pet. Play around with it. Have fun with it. Joke with it. What i am trying to say is think and fight through this war positively. If there is no cigarette around or you run out of it, dont try and practice to immediately get one. Make it a hobby or practice to erase memories of it. Don't let smoking control you. You control yourself.
Well back to what i usually do when i encounter this kind of situation. Honestly i would try to think of something else which is fun or something that will make me forget everything about cigarette. I know this is hard but i did it and so can you. Motivate yourself. Avoid having a mindset "Ah ! I will be better after i get a cigarette" , "Shoot! I need cigarette now" , "Never mind, after i get my cigarette i will return to this matter" . This will only pull your guard down and eventually you will start to get a cigarette immediately. The circle will start again. :(
Imagine just right after you finish your last stick, and the next stick is usually in 15 minutes. So try to hold till 30 minutes ~ 1 hour till you smoke again. Practice to make the gap longer day by day. It will greatly help in your quest to quit smoking.
